The trouble with video game ratings

Since 1984, the ESRB’s official word is that game ratings work, and that it’s up to parents to decide what their kids should see and play. But the truth is that the ratings are broken. In fact, they never really worked that well, and more than ever they need to be changed to address the constant changes in electronic entertainment.
